This modest camp is so effectively disguised among the dense riverine forest trees that you probably won't see it until you've entered it. This small-scale safari resort, located in a narrow bend of the Ntiakitiak River, has only five luxury safari tents sheltered by a forest canopy. It's the ideal small African safari home base for amazing wildlife watching and dawn and sunset safari excursions. Mara Expedition Camp is the ideal blend of very efficient conservation initiatives and a sophisticated safari decor equipped with antique travel trunks, brass bucket showers, and leather couches. Whereas the Masai Mara National Reserve may get a little chaotic (particularly during the Great Migration season), this little camp is a haven of solitude and quiet. Each of the five safari tents is covered by an acacia grove and overlooks the Ntiakitiak River. The camp is located just within the Masai Mara National Reserve's northern boundary, where riverine woodland meets the boundless savannahs of the Mara environment. The camp is also conveniently located near the Mara North Conservancy, and visitors may enjoy unrestricted safari drives in both the National Reserve and the Mara North Conservancy.
