Angama is named after the Swahili term meaning "suspended in mid-air". Angama Mara is an unique owner-run safari resort overlooking Kenya's Maasai Mara, regarded by many to be the most beautiful game reserve on the continent, undoubtedly. It is situated high above the floor of Africa's Great Rift Valley. Guests will find a resort where everything is done right: two compact camps with just fifteen tented suites each, a private airport with access to the Mara below, tailor-made safari days, and a notably warm Kenyan welcome. Angama Safari Camp, an exclusive-use movable tented camp located deep in the Mara Triangle and amidst the giant herds during the Great Migration, complements the lodge superbly. Each of Angama Mara's enormous 100 sqm Tented Suites is perched right on the brink of the escarpment and has floor-to-ceiling glass running completely down the front to take advantage of the magnificent views. With splashes of Maasai Red, French Khaki, copper, and brass, the interiors are simple, classic, and above all, comfy.
