About

Lewa Wildlife Sanctuary is a productive wildlife conservancy that sprawls across the undulating plains north of Mt Kenya. It is popular with celebrities, environmentalists, journalists, and photographers. Lewa has recently received media attention for reports of a Royal romance and the fairytale engagement that ensued. Visitors to Lewa are treated to some of the most stunning wildlife watching in Kenya: lion, leopard, and jackal thrive on the area's wide array of prey. The Wildlife Conservancy is home to the world's greatest concentration of Grevy's zebra, as well as rich birds and around 200 Black and White rhino. Lewa Safari Camp provides true luxury for its visitors, with big tented bedrooms with verandahs and full en-suite bathrooms; toasty log fireplaces in the living area are ideal for unwinding after a day in the Conservancy. Underpinning the luxurious allure of Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is a serious mission: a pioneering and realistic approach to conservation that was established in the 1970s and has grown into a flourishing and worldwide recognized rhino conservation habitat.
