About
Tusitiri Dhow is the family's coastal home, and their history and passion for Kenya are palpable in the dhow's charm and the expertise of the crew, many of whom have sailed aboard Tusitiri for over twenty years. Tusitiri is one of East Africa's remaining big commercial dhows, and its restoration preserves a unique component of Kenya's Swahili cultural legacy. Thirty years ago, the family established more permanent roots in Kenya, establishing two lovely Kenyan getaways. Tusitiri Dhow, a restored traditional dhow in the Lamu Archipelago, and Enasoit, a private game reserve and luxury tented camp in the Mount Kenya foothills. Both properties can be rented exclusively. The tale of the Enasoit Collection begins with a Norwegian family's passion of Africa. Their safari adventures blossomed from a sense of adventure into a lifelong pursuit of exploring Africa's natural places and building and supporting community and animal conservation initiatives in East Africa.
